A NOTE ABOUT TROPHIES 2

All:

Last year, the SYTHL board voted to adopt an SYTHL Cup Trophy for the SYTHL year end tournaments.  This trophy is along the lines of the Stanley Cup- they are perpetual meaning that the winning team displays it in their rinks trophy case for the year and passes it on to the next winner.  Each trophy will have a plaque with the winning team and year on it.
The organization of the winning team was to bring the cup back to the meetings in August so that we could hand them off to the next host organization for the next tournaments. 

Unfortunately, we only had one cup come back (Thank you Knoxville!)  Therefore, we have 3 tournaments that do not have championship trophies for this weekend.    WE NEED THESE TROPHIES!  I am not sure who the winning teams were from last years tournaments but I believe it was Duluth for the Squirt AA,   Nashville or the Fire for PWA and ?? for the Squirt A team.

If you have a trophy at your rink or in your possession that is the SYTHL BIG Silver and Gold Cup from last years tournaments you need to get that cup to the host rink by this weekend.  Most organizations have teams participating in this years touraments so it is just a matter of transportation.  Please let me know immediately if  you have a trophy and need to get it to a tournament.

For future reference:

If you are a tournament winner this year:
The trophy is to remain on display at your home rink
The trophy is to be returned to SYTHL in August at the August Meetings

These are expensive trophies - it would be a shame to not be able to continue using them as intended.
